I really love this site.
I came to the US a year ago. I was working in a company selling roof tiles and shingles. But you probably know that these companies have gone down in sales drastically. Well they fired me because I was the new kid on the block. During the time I was employed there many people asked me if we cleaned roofs. I had to tell them no. This is how I got the idea of start cleaning roofs. I dont know where to buy the chemicals. I am in South Miami. Any help will be really appreciated. I have to start making money.
And if someone has an old tank or equipment that is not using and wants to sell it please tell me.

Thank you in advance for any help

eww,

is chlorine the way to go? there have to be better chems out there. i know borax is better and the tsp also.

gotta look at the environmental impact of using chlorine. it will kill the bushes around the homes.

my 2 cents...

Tsp and borax can be used with chlorine but won't do anything by themselves. I personally use chlorine only and it works fine. Read what all the major shingle manufactures recommend to clean their shingles with.

Suz, like anything, the danger is in the hands of the user.

thanks barry,

didn't know all that. i just clean interior residentials (couldn't get me on a roof with a shotgun  ).

the tsp & borax do have their places inside the homes in some instances. clorox is fantastic and i still use it a little in my home but for clients i stay away from it lest i bleach out a carpet or something.

appreciate your response...good info!
