Many cleaning companies fail to let their customer know about all the services they provide, leaving money on the table. If you let your customers know, they could spend more money.

I used to work for a carpet company that did both carpet installation and cleaning. I worked as both a cleaner and carpet helper. I can't tell you how many times a customer would ask us, while cleaning, who they would recommend for new carpet. I would also be asked, on an installation, who cleans carpets. They did a poor job informing their customers.

When we decided to add tile & grout cleaning, we sent out a postcard. In the first month, we made all of our investment in equipment back and it turned out to be a great add on service. My former boss eventually added tile & grout cleaning. I told them they need to send out notice to their 4000 customers.
