I am not an expert but granite seems to me more reliable in impact resistance. Marble may be more luxurious in appearance for someone, but I prefer a practical approach.

Both are beautiful, but granite is much easier to take care of. Marble has so much maintenance that comes with it. Quartz is really good for countertops and is very trendy now. Everyone wants quartz and quartzite countertops nowadays.
I agree with you. Granite is a better option than marble. But if you would like to give a luxurious look then can go with marble as well. ;)

I agree that marble may look more luxurious in appearance. Still, it absorbs fast all the liquids and coloring substances that got on it. More than that, it is very fragile, and all scratches are visible on it. Some years ago, we ordered for our kitchen a dallas white granite worktop 14 Best White Granite Colors for Kitchen Countertops - Countertops HQ. I have never regretted that I chose it. Indeed, it is an excellent combination of price and quality, for such a beautiful and practical material
