I did windows the other day and had a hard time removing some kind of residue on the window exterior. The home owner says he has in the past with great difficulty removed the residue with a razor. i tried the razor by wetting the glass then scraping but no good. I tried ajax with a scrunge sponge and it didn't work. I windexed and dried and it was still there. What is this stuff RAIN Minerals? I have no clue. what do I use to restore these windows?

Thanks,

It sounds like hard water spots.
If the vinegar doesn't do it you'll have to step up to Safe Restore or a paste compound.

Glass restoration is a big job, not part of regular cleaning, and should be charged for accordingly.
This pretty much solves your problem. I do agree with charging extra for glass restoration since it's not an easy task and is rather tedious too.
