One of my clients is a daycare. They have a 10x12 entrance that is ceramic tile. The ceramic has not been sealed. For the last week or so, every morning, the tile becomes very slippery. Ice like. I have scrubbed it and cleaned it with hot water, but it is still occuring..even through the floor is bone dry when we leave.

We have had some snow, so there is water being tracked in to this area. I am wondering if possibly the salt/ice melter that is used on the outside sidewalk could be creating the problem.

Thoughts?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

slippery ceramic tile

:) My friend Ashley had the same problem with slippery tile on her back patio. She said she mopped on some non-slip stuff called Johnny Grip and it worked like a charm. If it worked for Ashley it should work for you. You can check them out if I remember right there site is http://www.slipperytile.com
